Physics Lab
A robotics workbench for researchers, engineers and curious builders. Change a design, command a movement, and discover what the simulated robot actually does. Explore in your browser, with AI to help you edit the code.
Build a robot arm one idea at a time: pivots, joints, kinematics, friction, programs, gears and brakes.
Why physical simulation matters
IK finds joint targets. Simulated actuators work toward them under effort limits. Compare the command with measured motion to understand tracking error, load and control.
Collision, friction and gravity affect what happens. A blocked joint can stop short. A weak grasp can slip. Investigate the reason and adjust your design.
Explore coordinate frames, joint limits, tool motion and feedback in editable experiments. These are the same concepts used to develop robot tasks and controllers.
From exploration to engineering
Use simulation to compare approaches, study failure modes and refine a task before working with hardware. Robot descriptions provide a shared vocabulary of links, joints and limits.
Transfer to a real robot still requires calibrated dynamics, its controller interface and validation on the hardware. The Lab is an experimentation environment; direct hardware export is not available yet.
